Sports competitions have always been known to be a healthy practice and encourages sportsman spirit among the students. Future World School & College, Bahria Town organized the annual “HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS FEST 2023” on February 17 and February 18, 2023. Sports Fest is a mega social event with a diverse range of sports and games for the students. It is a great opportunity for the students to socialize with other athletes from around the city. It is a healthy activity where all young athletes, irrespective of their gender get to showcase their skills in a variety of indoor and outdoor games. The games chosen for the event were:
Outdoor Games:
- Futsal
- Volleyball
- Basketball
Indoor Activities:
- Table Tennis
- Chess
- Foosball
- Pool
A total of 18 teams including FWS-GG, The City School (Rawal & Harley Campuses), Beaconhouse, ASAS, Westminster, Benchmark, Froebel’s, Pak Turk plus 09 private teams participated in the event. Game rules and regulations were provided to all the participating teams beforehand. We were proud to host 320 participants. The launch event was held early Friday afternoon after which the athletes took over the ground and exhibited great enthusiasm and zeal. True sportsman spirit could be witnessed on the ground and the team of FWS BTR held its head high as our students among the many others displayed excellent team work and positivity. A professional nurse was hired for both days to provide first aid services in case of any medical emergency during matches. An array of food stalls were available throughout the two day event for our participants to enjoy and energize with. The games continued on Saturday morning and the Closing Ceremony of the High School Fest was conducted on the same afternoon. The chief guest of the ceremony was the youngest MPA of Pakistan, Mrs. Batool Janjua who distributed trophies and certificates among the winners. We must acknowledge “DHA GUJRANWALA” for sponsoring the event. The grand finale of the event was our “Retro Theme Party” later in the evening where our students enjoyed sharing their experiences over the past two days with their peers and friends over sumptuous food and live music.
We take pride in having the opportunity to host such a spectacular event and are honored to be pioneers of collaborative initiatives amongst the educational institutions of the twin cities. We look forward to hosting even more grand events in the future on the grounds of Future Word School and College.
